ROSEHILL Youth Theatre will be putting on a production of Spongebob Squarepants.
Auditions for the play will be taking place soon and it is set to be performed at The Solway Hall in Whitehaven.
Sharon Crellen said, the director, said: "We'll be doing a Spongebob Squarepants production that will be very much like the TV programme.
"It will be the first time that it's going to be done around here. I don't know of any other youth theatre groups that are doing it in the area, it's very new.
"In the story, there is going to be an underwater volcano, and Sandy the Squirrel will save Bikini Bottom.
"The show will go ahead on February 6, 7, and 8. The auditions will take place this week and we are inviting anyone that is interested to take part. Anyone who is under 18 can take part as it is a youth theatre production.
"We do a show every year, and in the past few months we have done a production of The Wizard of Oz."
