Seven lovely pooches, currently in the care of Animal Rescue Cumbria, are ready for rehoming. Are you ready to meet them?
Animal Rescue Cumbria and The Wainwright Shelter take in, rehabilitate and rehome 350 cats and dogs every year. Once a dog has been assessed by the animal care team, they can be advertised for adoption.
These beautiful dogs are ready to find their forever families…
ODIN is a four-year-old Whippet and Greyhound Cross.
This ‘very sweet-natured, friendly boy’ would love to find a sofa to snuggle up on and call his own.
Animal Rescue Cumbria said Odin walks well with other dogs but would like to be the only dog in the home.
He needs a home where there are no cats or small furies, but he could live with secondary school aged children.
Odin would also like to find a home with a secure garden to potter in.
BORIS the Springer Spaniel is five years and two months old.
He is looking for a special home with an experienced dog owner who has dealt with resource guarding issues in the past.
Boris is hoping to find an owner who can commit to continuing his training.
Animal Rescue Cumbria said he needs to find a person who is quite knowledgeable on dog body language to be able to read and understand Boris as well as possible.
Boris needs to be the only pet in the home, and he cannot live with children.
While he enjoys going for walks, Boris needs some further work on his recall and would like a secure garden of his own to explore in.

Mike needs a quiet, adults only home where there are few visitors, and he is the only pet.
The charity said: “Once Mike gets to know you, he is a very sweet boy who enjoys a fuss. He loves to explore our secure field, and his recall is coming on well.
“Mike can be reactive when out on walks so would like to find a home in a quiet are where there are not many other dogs and will need an owner who can build his confidence. A home away from built up areas where there are quiet walks would be great for Mike.”
