YOUTHS in a Carlisle park reportedly shot a man who was confronting them over their air pistol use.
Cumbria Police said they were contacted at 11.55am yesterday (October 8) by a member of the public, reporting that he saw two male youths firing an air pistol in the Sheepmount area of Carlisle.
The man challenged the youths from a distance and one fired the pistol at him.
The victim was struck around the collarbone but suffered no injury, police said.
Officers attended and carried out an area search but did not locate the youths.
Police are investigating and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
