FOR this Nostalgia edition we wanted to take a look at Harry Potter Book Day.
Harry Potter Book Day is a chance for fans young and old to celebrate J.K. Rowling's wonderful series.
And it's a chance to pass the magic on to new readers who haven't yet discovered these unforgettable books.
Harry Potter Book Day is a chance for fans around the globe to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s iconic series with events, parties and other festivities.
Bloomsbury creates a downloadable event kit, with decoration, costume, activity and game ideas. You can use the event kit or create your own magical activities for the day.
Whether you are a bookshop, library, school or group of friends who want to celebrate. The event kit has activities for readers of all ages, and is suitable for lifelong superfans to young readers just beginning their Harry Potter journey.
Care of magical creatures is the theme for this year's event. The wizarding world of Harry Potter is full of magical creatures from majestic Hippogriffs, unicorns and dragons to the light-fingered Niffler and venomous Doxy, also known as the biting fairy.
The story follows a boy named Harry Potter who discovers that he is a wizard and is whisked off to the magical school of Hogwarts where he makes new friends and explores the fantasy world of dragons and giants.
He also discovers that an evil being called Voldemort is trying to take over the magical world, and throughout the book Harry has many battles with him.
