A MAN has been fined for drug possession after cannabis and drugs paraphernalia were found in his home.
Jordan Williams’ property was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act on June 22 this year. During the search, some drugs and drugs paraphernalia were found, Workington Magistrates’ Court heard.
Pamela Fee, prosecuting, said the 29-year-old was arrested for possession with intent to supply but was now charged with possession. He gave no comment during police interview.
Williams, of Wastwater Avenue, Workington, pleaded guilty to possessing a class B drug – cannabis.
John Cooper, defending, said: “He’s on a community order. It’s possession of cannabis. It’s a guilty plea at the first opportunity. Police accept it’s straightforward possession.
He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
