POLICE are conducting enquiries to establish the identity of a man who 'clearly had something to hide' in Workington town centre.
Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing Team were out on anti-social behaviour patrols in the area of the town centre on the evening of October 8.
The team came across a man who 'made off' from the officer, police said.
In a statement on social media, Allerdale police said: "Whilst out and about one male decided to make off from police and clearly had something to hide.
"Police are currently conducting CCTV enquiries to establish who this male was and what he had to hide."
