NORRIS Bernard (Geordie) Terry, Stephen and the family of the late Geordie, would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the lovely cards, beautiful flowers, friendly calls and kind words of sympathy during this very sad time, they were very much appreciated, as were the generous donations to Silloth Lifeboat. Geordie will be dearly missed by so many people. PROCTER Derek (former school teacher) After a long and happy life, Derek passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Infirmary on Friday 4th October 2024, aged 89 years. Much loved husband of Mavis for 62 years, a dearly loved brother of Jennifer and the late Jim, a dear uncle of Mavis, great-uncle of John and Cheryl, great-great-uncle of Beth, Kirsty, Leah, Jasmine and James and godfather of Karen. COOK Joan Suddenly on Sunday 29th September 2024 at The Cumberland Infirmary Joan sadly passed away. She was the devoted wife of the late Billy. Much loved mam of Joanne, mother-in-law of David and nana to Gabrielle. She will be sadly missed by all her family including her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and all her friends and neighbours. Joan will be received into St Bede's Church on Wednesday 16th October at 5pm with a funeral service being held the next day, Thursday 17th October at 10am followed by interment at Richardson Street Cemetery where Joan will be laid to rest with her beloved Billy.
