WETHERAL Church is set to host a service in remembrance of the 'faithful departed'.
The event, which will take place at 6pm on Sunday, November 3, will involve a 'special' Choral Evensong service where attendees are invited to light a candle in memory of a lost loved one.
The service will also feature 'beautiful' music, prayers, and readings from the bible.
Writing on social media, Eden Churches who are organising the event, said: "All those who have lost someone are welcome to come and light a candle during the service, and write down the name of their loved one, with all the names being read out and prayed for during the service. There'll also be lots of beautiful music, prayers, and some suitable readings from the Bible.
"Everyone of all faiths and none are welcome to this service, especially those who have lost someone and wish to remember them at this time of year."
