A Cumbrian school's headteacher has been nominated for two prestigious academic awards.
Andrew Keep, headmaster at St Bees School, has been shortlisted for the Best Education and Learning Leader category at the Golden Apple Awards.
This award, sponsored by Furness College, recognises leaders who have made outstanding contributions to education in the region.
Mr Keep was also nominated for the Pastoral Leader/Staff of the Year category at the National Awards for Pastoral Care in Education, which was held on October 11.
The dual nominations highlights his 'tireless efforts in fostering both academic excellence and a nurturing, inclusive school environment.'
His leadership has had a 'profound impact' on students, staff, and the wider community.
Ceara Fisher, director of marketing and admissions at St Bees School, said: "We are incredibly proud of Mr. Keep and the entire team at St Bees.
"These nominations not only highlight the work he does on a daily basis but also the shared commitment of everyone at the school to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
"His leadership continues to set an example of excellence in both education and pastoral care."
The Golden Apple Awards and National Awards for Pastoral Care in Education are awards intended to celebrate excellence in the education sector.
