A PROPOSED youth justice plan for the Cumberland area will be considered by councillors next month.
Members of Cumberland Council's executive committee considered the Cumberland Youth Justice Plan 2024 - 2025 on Tuesday (October 15) at Cumbria House in Botchergate in Carlisle.
Councillor Emma Williamson (Kells and Sandwith, Labour), the children's services, family wellbeing and housing portfolio holder, told members that it was recommended that they note the report and it would be referred to the full council on Tuesday, November 5.
The report states: "This report has been prepared to both advise members about the planning requirements for the Youth Justice Service (YJS) and seek approval of the Youth Justice Plan which requires submission to the Youth Justice Board (YJB)."
