A dog was stretchered off a Lake District fell after losing the use of its back legs.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called out to rescue the Alaskan Malamute on Tuesday, October 15 after the dog had lost the use of its legs on Walla Crag.
As the dog was large the rescue team were unable to carry it so used a stretcher to bring it safely off the fell.
Writing on social media, Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said: "A couple walking on Walla Crag reported that their usually energetic and bouncy Alaskan Malamute had lost the use of her back legs.
"Being a large dog the owners were unable to carry her down to their vehicle so called for help.
"Keswick team stretchered the dog down to a team vehicle and took it to a local vet for tests and further treatment."
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called at 14:43, with the rescue involving six team members and lasting one hour and 49 minutes.
