Family-owned AA Carpets & Furnishings has opened a new store in Workington, where a Wilko was formerly situated.

The store, which stocks a range of carpets, flooring, and home furnishings, was opened on March 29 following a £100,000 renovation.

Directors Adrian, Cathy, and Hamish have expanded the team since the closure of Carpetright, and among the new hires is sales manager Dean, of Whitehaven, and estimator and sales specialist Lee, of Kendal.

Dean and Lee join Josh, a former apprentice at AA Carpets & Furnishings who is now a full-time sales team member.

The new store is located on Ladies' Walk, and is open from 9am to 5pm on weekdays and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
