A Carlisle shopping centre has recognised the 'hard work' of its team during National Recycling Week 2024.
Recycle Week is held between Monday, October 14, and Sunday, October 20, and aims to 'motivate more people to recycle more of the right things and avoid unnecessary waste'.
As part of the National Week, The Lanes Shopping Centre recognised the 'hard work' of its team in keeping its a green as possible.
Writing on social media, they said: "Here at The Lanes, we have always continually strived to be at the forefront of improvements in all areas & particularly in setting an example in our efforts to reduce our environmental impact.
"This is an ideal time to recognise the hard work of our team & the improvements they have implemented in the past few years
"On-site, we recycle cardboard, glass, mixed plastics & metals. One of our team's biggest achievements is having reduced our waste to landfill to 100 per cent diversion to recycling in 2023
"This is, of course, continuing this year."
