Wigton Baths will temporarily close for two weeks to enable work to be completed on its energy saving intervention project.
The baths will be closed from October 27 to November 10 for a new boiler system and wall installation to be fitted safely and efficiently.
They received funding earlier this year from the UK Government Swimming Pool Support Fund (SPSF) to support the improvement works, they have also been fundraising through the Buy a Tile campaign.
Trustee Kevin Armstrong said: "While we have not yet reached our fundraising goal of £21,250, we have decided to move forward with phase one of the project before the onset of cold weather. We apologise for any inconvenience this closure may cause."
Kevin said: “In order for the project to be fully complete we need to reach our target, so we urge the local community to go to our Just Giving page to buy a tile for £5. We also still have a handful of corporate sponsor boards left.”
Tiles can be bought from their Just Giving page.
