A driver in Maryport has received points on their licence after Allerdale Police caught them using their phone while driving.
The driver asked officers whether they could be let off with a warning after they were stopped on Friday afternoon.
Allerdale Police wrote on Facebook: "Considering you were going past a school at kick out time, driving a big van, previously banned and saw a police officer but still did not get off you phone.... No.
"The kids did have a good laugh at you mind."
