Two drivers were taken to hospital after a crash earlier today (October 21).
A Cumbria Constabulary spokesperson said the crash, which involved a car and a van, was reported just after 1pm.
It happened on the A69 between Low Row and Brampton at the Lanercost turnoff.
Both drivers taken to hospital – the van driver with lower leg injuries and the car driver to be checked over for chest pains.
The road was reopened at around 2.35pm, however, there seems to have been a subsequent incident of a lorry breaking down which is causing a further blockage at the same location, 500 metres up the road, the police spokesperson said.
