CUMBRIA Police have announced that the body of a man has been found in the River Eden.
Police confirmed that the body was found in the river near Sheepmount in Carlisle on Tuesday, October 22.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson: "Police can confirm the body of a man was found in the River Eden, near the Sheep Mount in Carlisle at around 9:10am yesterday morning (Tuesday, October 22).
"Formal identification has not yet taken place.
"The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious at this time."
