CARLISLE Trampoline Club has said that it is 'very proud' after success at the English Championships 2024.
The 2024 English Trampoline and Double Mini Tramp Championships were held in Telford on Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, October 20, with clubs from across the country competing for the top prizes.
At the event, 12 members of Carlisle Trampoline Club competed after securing their spot at the Championships after two previous English Qualifying events.
Over the weekend, the local club performed 'brilliantly' taking 11 final places over three events with two members winning prizes.
Nine-year-old Bobby Dowell claimed the bronze medal in the silver double mini-trampoline nine to 10 male event and Emily Trotter won the British Gymnastics Chris Fordham Trophy 2024.
This was given to Emily for having the highest execution on the double mini trampoline over the championship weekend.
Speaking after the club's success at the English Championships, coach Kim Trotter expressed her delight.
She said: "As a club, we are very proud of each of our members and it is lovely to see them all succeed.
"Having worked alongside each gymnast, seeing them put the hard work in week in and week out and for them to go out to a Championships, enjoy themselves, make finals, podium places, and achieve their goals is amazing.
"The added bonus of the Chris Fordham Trophy was not expected but is an incredible feeling to know that as coaches we have helped our gymnasts achieve their dreams and continually watch them enjoy their sporting journey."
