A tractor was stolen in Cumbria, and later recovered in a different county, while police investigate the theft.
Cumbria police said a Massey Ferguson tractor was stolen near Penrith and later recovered in Darlington.
They're appealing for any witnesses who saw the tractor (pictured) being driven in the early hours of October 22 along the A66 Eastbound to contact them.
A police spokesperson said: "We are also aware of another incident involving a Massey over the border in the neighbouring Barnard Castle police area last night and are appealing for tractor owners to be extra vigilant for thieves, and look at increasing their security provisions."
They added that they're working with Carrs Billington, a farm machinery and vehicle seller, to promote security measures on machinery, including trackers, immobilisers, and property marking.

The spokesperson added: "We also encourage the use of motion activated CCTV, remotely monitored in addition to lighting.
"Please make sure all machinery is kept locked and secured ideally within a locked building.
"For further advice please drop us a message or contact your dealership."
