A WEST Cumbrian museum has praised the work of their volunteers.
The Beacon in Whitehaven has shown its appreciation for the efforts of its volunteers.
Those who want to join the museum's team are asked to pop in and chat with their volunteer coordinator.
In a post on social media, The Beacon wrote: "The volunteers at The Beacon Museum are truly one-of-a-kind.
"Their passion shines through in every aspect of their work, from digitising our collection to preserve local history, to warmly interacting with visitors and creating a welcoming atmosphere, to putting together exhibitions.
"They also host memory sessions which offer an engaging way to connect the past with the present, and just recently they've started a book club with a twist.
"Their dedication and love for the museum make them invaluable to everything we do. We’re so grateful for all they do to help bring our museum to life."
