A WEST Cumbrian scout group has reformed more than four years since it was disbanded.
Following the success or their young sections, 4th Workington Scout group officially re-launched their Scout Troop in June this year, after it had originally closed just before Covid.
Four months on and having grown from scratch, there are now more than 10 scouts in 4th Workington.
The group are looking to encourage more local young people to join the scouting movement.

Group lead volunteer Yvonne said: “As group scout leader I am proud of all the leaders and helpers at 4th Workington, it has not been easy reopening sections after the Covid pandemic and providing a weekly programme for the children.
"It has not been easy reopening the section from zero and leaders, Shaun and Aaron have both worked tirelessly to ensure the sections success.”
4th Workington are also on the lookout for new adventure seeking adults to join as a leader.
