A Carlisle bridal shop has thanked the support of the local community after reaching 14 years in business. 

Carol's Bridal Boutique, on Warwick Road, marked the occasion earlier this month with cake and a day out at Game On!

The business has offered personalised services to brides ahead of their wedding day for well over a decade now, and its staff feel that the business can only grow bigger and better.

She said: "It’s been an exciting journey, and is a very rewarding job. Seeing all our beautiful brides wearing the dress of their dreams on their wedding day is the most amazing feeling.

"To know they chose you to be a part of their special day is so gratifying."

Lauren added: "We wouldn’t be where we are without the community. We are lucky to be supported by local people and local businesses. We organise and run Cumbria's Premier Wedding Show alongside Ca Events and always have an incredible amount of local wedding suppliers supporting us at this big event. We are extremely grateful.

"Covid was a massive disruption to our business, as it was to every business in Cumbria. We were fortunate enough to be able to adapt and offer online/virtual appointments for our brides where they could purchase their dresses over zoom via our virtual show room. 

"It was a difficult time for everyone and we’re extremely lucky to be out of the other side."

When asked about plans for the future, Lauren added: "We want to keep finding exclusive incredible dresses for our brides that Cumbria hasn’t seen before.

"And keeping our brides excited about the experience we are offering here at Carol's Bridal. We’re always striving to offer the best."

She concluded: "A special mention to our incredible team, Lauren, Sarah, Megan, Gail and Liberty who are incredible with all our brides and grooms. Here’s to the best year yet."
