A couple from southern Scotland have won a 'luxury' holiday caravan in Cumbria.

Jacqueline and Graham Weatherstone were left in 'disbelief' after being told they had won the Park Holidays UK annual prize draw.

The couple were told they could choose any of the group's parks in Britain to place their new leisure home.

For the couple, the choice was 'easy,' selecting Glendale Holiday Park which is just a 40-minute drive from their home.

Mrs Weatherstone said: "It's a perfect location for all ages, and we can relax because the park is so peaceful and they can safely run around, play games or simply go exploring the grounds."

Mrs Weatherstone said: "We're really looking forward to chilling there with a glass of wine and taking in the views.

"I’ve only ever won the occasional raffle in the past, so this has come as a wonderful surprise – and now we’ll be looking forward to our regular escapes to Glendale."
