THE Lanes shopping centre is set to host its latest 'Live & Local' music event.

The shopping centre will showcase local musicians at its 'Live & Local @ The Lanes' event that will take place on Saturday, November 2. 

The event, which is held in partnership with HMV, will headed up at East Tower Square by local musicians including Jake Scott and Antics.

Ahead of the event, Susan Young, centre manager at The Lanes said: "Our previous Live & Local events have been very well received by our customers as well as offering local musicians the opportunity to perform to an audience that want to see local acts, so we decided to host one more Live & Local in partnership with HMV, this year"

Russ Withey, HMV Carlisle store manager added: "We are thrilled to be providing talented local musicians with an opportunity to share their music to a wider audience on stage in the Lanes Shopping Centre through our HMV Live & Local initiative.

"We are working with the Lanes shopping centre to provide an improved shopping experience enhanced by different styles of music."
