Cumberland Council have warned of reduced capacity at a city centre car park whilst they undertake some ‘much-needed maintenance work’.

The ‘essential’ resurfacing work is scheduled to take place at West Walls car park between 8am and 4pm on Monday, October 28 with an area to the bottom end of the site, the Carlisle Castle side  closed off from Sunday evening to allow the works to be carried out effectively and safely.

Spaces will be released gradually as the works are completed.

A spokesperson for Cumberland Council said: “The council apologies for any inconvenience caused.

“Alternative parking is available in Caldew Riverside and Viaduct car parks.”
