Former CFM radio presenter Pete Moss is set to open a new bar on the city’s recently revamped Devonshire Street.
Skool will be open six days a week celebrating old school dance music from the 90s and early noughties.
The site was previously home to The Temple tattoo studio which is moving to Cecil Street.
Pete has been a regular DJ in the city centre for the last few years and believes the bar will add something new to Carlisle’s ever-improving night life scene.
“As Carlisle’s city centre modernises to focus more on becoming a social hub, Skool will provide those who have a love of classic old school dance tunes a place to enjoy them, reminisce and dance like they’re 21 again, day or night," said Pete.
“Whilst DJ-ing, it’s obvious that younger people also have a love for many tunes from this era of dance music and regularly request them.”
Pete will DJ live in the venue on Friday and Saturday nights and will be hosting a weekly quiz on Tuesdays which he promises will be 'essential' for anyone who loves a fun evening with friends.

"The Skool Quiz will be more than just questions and answers and will be shown on screens all around the bar," said Pete.
"The subjects will vary each week and will feature visual and audio rounds.”
Pete Moss was a presenter on the local radio station CFM for 25 years.
An opening date will be announced in the coming weeks.
