An audience of 36 people watched Jodie Comer’s latest film at Brampton Film Club.
The film club's recent screening of The End We Start From garnered a moderate appeal rating of 7 out of 10.
The 2023 film, adapted from Megan Hunter's novel, portrays a woman navigating a flooded, crisis-ridden London to find her way home with her newborn.
Despite some confusing plot elements and editing, the film's deeper message resonated with the audience.
The club has now announced its next feature, The Zone of Interest, for November 16.
This Oscar-winning film tells the chilling story of Hedwig Höss, a mother trying to maintain a peaceful home life next to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where her husband, Rudolf Höss, is a key player in executing Hitler’s Final Solution.
The screening will be held at Brampton Community Centre at 7pm.
Tickets, priced at £4 for members and £6 for non-members, can be bought online or at the door.
