PARANORMAL investigators in Carlisle have conducted a session at a popular local pub.
Investigators from Paranormal Investigations Crew UK, who are based in Carlisle, investigated 'reports of ghostly activity' at The Crown Inn, Stanwix on Sunday, October 27.
The session was led by Sarah Simmons who has been a local ghost hunter for over 28 years, who was joined by other members of her paranormal investigations crew as well as members of staff from The Crown Inn who had alerted them to the potential presence of ghouls within the pub.
Sarah said: "They reached out to us as we had done The Howard Arms and they are the same owners. When we were there they said about us coming to do The Crown Inn.
"It was the cellar at The Crown where the staff said they felt like they were being watched and had a nervous feeling.
"Often when they have to go to the back of the cellar and they're walking back through and they are going up the step, they feel like someone is behind them. They swear they can hear footsteps."
The session saw Sarah and her team attempt to communicate with the spirits that were lurking in the Carlisle pub and investigate the cellar which gave all involved an 'uneasy' feeling.
She said: "As soon as we arrived I was very aware of a gentleman who had a lot of facial hair and a slim build near the men's toilets. We really felt that he was going to communicate with us but we didn't get much from him.
"We set up the automatic writing planchette but nothing came through. We did have K2s going off which pick off electromagnetic fields and a few noises.
"Then we went to the cellar and I think all of us felt uneasy down there. We did a bit of calling out down there and the REM pod went off a few times which also picks up electromagnetic fields.
"Nothing much really happened but we are hoping that when we go back over the evidence it could be different."
Sarah was also keen to thank the staff members from The Crown Inn who took part in the investigation.
She said: "Everybody said they enjoyed it and had a great night.
"The staff were very brave and they were really into it and enjoying it."
