A full road closure was not in place but the area was blocked as emergency services were present, so drivers were advised that they may likely get stuck and should avoid the area where possible.
The police said later today that the road reopened at around 6.40pm and one person was taken to hospital with injuries described as 'minor' and 'non life-threatening'.
