Stagecoach is offering free bus travel to military personnel, veterans and cadets this Remembrance Weekend.

The initiative, available on November 10 and 11, is in support of their employee-led Veterans Network.

The offer applies to any serving personnel or cadet in uniform, those with a military ID card, and veterans wearing medals or veterans' badges who are attending remembrance services.

Some Stagecoach buses will also be decorated with poppy graphics as a symbol of remembrance and respect.

"This initiative underscores our commitment to supporting those who serve or have served our country, along with the families and communities who support them."

The company has been a member of the Armed Forces Covenant since March 2015, which recognises the contributions of serving personnel, both regular and reservists, as well as veterans and military families.

The Veterans Network was set up to connect Stagecoach employees, provide them with a platform to 'drive positive change', raise awareness, influence decisions, and introduce initiatives to improve the company.

Remembrance Weekend marks a time when the public can show support for the cadet and Armed Forces community.

It also provides an opportunity for reflection on the sacrifices made by those who have served and continue to serve in the military.
