Cumbria Police have issued guidance ahead of tonight's fireworks show in Bitts Park.
The Carlisle neighbourhood policing team will be out and about this afternoon and this evening for the popular bonfire and fireworks event.
If anyone needs support, they are encouraged to speak to the nearest Cumberland Council steward first.
This is the other advice that the police has shared for anyone attending tonight's event:
-
There will be a Police presence throughout the city this afternoon and evening, those involved in ASB may be given direction to leave and miss all events due to poor behaviour
-
Parking via all council carparks across the city will be open for the duration of the show, please be considerate where you park and do not obstruct roads, paths or access routes as these may need to be used by emergency services
-
Parents, there is still time to have a conversation with your children around what behaviour is acceptable, the behaviour of your children can have consequences for you, your home and your time.
