A MAN has been taken to hospital following a ‘short pursuit’ by police on Sunday evening.
Police attempted to stop a motorbike on London Road, Carlisle at around 6.44pm on Sunday, November 3.
The motorbike driver had failed to stop for officers, and following a short pursuit, the ride was stopped and detained.
A 49-year-old man from Carlisle was taken to Cumberland Infirmary with leg injuries.

Cumbria Police said that their officers’ actions ‘prevented any further risks to the public’.
A road closure was in place on London Road which has since been re-opened.
