COMMUNITY beat police officers have recovered an uninsured car in Carlisle.
Beat officers from the Carlisle East Neighbourhood Policing Team recovered the vehicle whilst on patrol on the evening of Monday, November 4.
The vehicle was seized after the driver and passengers went 'for a little jog', leaving the uninsured car behind.
Writing on social media, they said: "Your City East Community Beat Officers have been out this evening looking to disrupt criminality and those using darker nights to prey on vulnerable people.
"Whilst on patrol imagine their surprise when the driver and passengers went for a little jog leaving the vehicle behind with no insurance and a familiar smell of illicit air freshener emanating from the vehicle.
"Vehicle recovered section 165 road traffic act - no insurance
"Driver invited to the Police Station to explain for tonight's events at their leisure."
