CARLISLE Youth Zone has said that it is 'delighted' after launching a new youth photography competition.
The competition, 'Your View', has been launched to celebrate Youth Work Week and invites people aged between seven, 17, and up to 25 if they have additional needs to capture and share their perspectives of Carlisle.
The competition's theme has been designed to encourage young photographers to produce an image that reflects what they see or believe in.
Carlisle Youth Zone’s CEO Caroline Taylor-Beswick said: "At Carlisle Youth Zone, we know the transformative power of youth work and the opportunities it provides young people to explore and express themselves.
"I'm delighted to see us partner with Carlisle Business Supplies to run this competition during Youth Work Week, providing a chance for young people to share their unique perspectives and for us to see a glimpse of the world through their eyes."
Entries for the competition are open from Monday, November 4 until Sunday, November 10 with submissions to be made through Carlisle Youth Zone's website.
The winner will be presented with an Instax Camera whilst the runner-up will win a selection of high street vouchers.
