A man was hospitalised with facial injuries after a reported assault outside a pub
Cumbria police said it happened at around 10.20pm on Tangier Street, Whitehaven, outside The Tavern on October 27.
The reported victim, a man in his 50s, suffered facial injuries to the left-hand side of his face, and was taken to West Cumberland Hospital.
A 58-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail.
Cumbria police said they are seeking any potential witnesses to the incident.
