A Carlisle beauty salon has been named as Cumbria's best for the second year running and will head to Birmingham later this month for the national awards.

Chloë's Beauty, which was established by Chloë Warton in 2020, was crowned Cumbria's best earlier this month and will compete to be England's best on November 17 at the England's Business Awards Grand Final.

The West Tower Street business has grown its team in its four years since opening, including the addition of two nail technicians from Ukraine, who have both played a significant part in the salon's success.

Even with owner Chloë currently away on maternity leave, the business is continuing to flourish, and she is extremely proud of her team.

She said: "I was so shocked we got it again for the second year running. I hadn’t prepared a speech so I definitely wasn’t expecting it. It really is down to my hard working team, they are the best at what they do and all our reviews can vouch for that. It makes me extremely proud to know my salon is exactly the same without me there because of our high standards and intense training.

"I want to say a massive shout out and thank you to Teagan Palmer for managing the salon while I am not there as she is doing the most spectacular job and winning the award confirms this even more so. I’m sure all our clients would agree that she makes Chloë’s Beauty the place it is today!

Chloë also paid testament to the support from the local community which has been vital in turning the business into what it is today.

She added: "Thinking about how our little salon has grown brings happy tears to my eyes. The support from our Carlisle community has been absolutely incredible, and I really want to share what that means to us.

"When we first opened our doors, it was your friendly faces, warm recommendations and word-of-mouth that helped us grow. You didn't just come for treatments - you became part of our Chloë's Beauty family!"

And now, Chloë is excited to compete against the rest of the country on November 17.

She concluded: "We can’t wait for it, it was amazing last year but how can you possibly compete with the whole country when we are just a small city. It is a bit crazy! An amazing achievement to get there in the first place and be in the top best salons in the country is enough for us."
