Tullie has officially closed today (November 11) ahead of its new exhibition opening on November 23.
The Backing the Blues exhibition has run in Carlisle since the summer and has proven to be incredibly popular, particularly with fans of the Brunton Park outfit.
Tullie itself has been closed since December 2023, as part of Project Tullie, an ambitious, multi-million redevelopment plan to modernise the entire museum and gallery.
The museum recently confirmed on social media that, after significant delays, it will reopen in February 2025.
However, a new exhibition documenting the artistic works of Sheila Fell, will open later this month, alongside the Border Galleries, the Costume Collection, Old Tullie House and the temporary cafe, from November 23.
After the Backing the Blues exhibition came to an end on Sunday November 10, the whole site will be closed to the public for just under two weeks.
On social media, Tullie wrote: "We're waving our big foam fingers goodbye as Backing the Blues walks off after the final whistle and looking longingly, pulling our scarves tighter, as Sheila Fell approaches on the horizon.
"Please be aware that from Monday November 11 until Saturday November 23, the whole site will be closed to the public while we install Sheila Fell: Cumberland on Canvas and get other galleries ready."
