Councillors from the Cumbria region attended Remembrance Sunday services to pay tribute to the Armed Forces.
Across Westmorland and Furness, communities came together on November 10 to honour the service and sacrifices made by the Armed Forces.
Various services and gatherings were held throughout the area, with councillors and senior council leaders joining the residents in paying their respects.
In Barrow, nearly 1,000 residents joined the remembrance ceremony.
Councillor Bill McEwan, Armed Forces Champion for the Barrow area and Linda Jones, Chief Legal and Monitoring Officer, laid wreaths on behalf of the council.
In Kendal, Councillor Matt Severn, Chair of Westmorland and Furness Council, laid a wreath alongside veteran and council officer Frankie Flannigan.
Councillor Vicky Hughes, Armed Forces Champion for the South Lakeland area, attended a service in Burton-in-Kendal and also laid a wreath in tribute.
In Penrith, Councillor Michael Eyles, Armed Forces Champion for the Eden area, and Paul Robinson, Director of Enabler Services, laid a wreath.
Mr Robinson also attended the Penrith and Eden Armed Forces Breakfast Club gathering, which received a donation from the council’s chairman in recognition of their support for veterans in the community.
Councillor Virginia Taylor, Cabinet Member for Sustainable Communities and Localities, represented the council at the County Memorial Service at Rickerby Park in Carlisle.
Councillor Matt Severn said: "Services held across Westmorland and Furness were a moving testament to our community’s respect and gratitude for the Armed Forces.
"I would like to thank everyone who joined us in remembrance, ensuring these sacrifices are honoured and never forgotten."
