A VISITOR to Carlisle is yet to enter a plea to an allegation that he possessed cannabis worth an estimated £250,000 with intent to supply.
Wang Kai Xie, 23, who gave his address as Fountainwell Road, Glasgow, declined to enter a plea to the allegation when he appeared before magistrates at Carlisle’s Rickergate court.
Prosecutors allege that the offence was committed in Carlisle on Sunday, November 10, accusing the defendant of possessing 17 kilos of cannabis and £215 in cash.
Magistrates sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court for a plea hearing on December 9. In the meantime, the defendant was remanded in custody.
