A Carlisle mum has transformed her daughter's love for hair bows into a new small business

Caitlin Heatley from Carlisle started her new business, Skye's Hair Bow Heaven in June, after being inspired by her eight-year-old daughter Skye's love for all things hair accessories.

Skye's Hair Bow Heaven specialises in these hair accessories with Caitlin handmaking all of the business's merchandise.

She said: "I create and handmake hair bows for girls.

"I love everything about it, I love putting the colours together and designing different bows, and I also include my eight-year-old daughter.

"She loves to help me which is another reason why I named my business after her.

"What inspired me was my daughter. She wanted me to make bows for her and I realised I enjoyed doing it then U expanded to making bows for my friend's daughters and they all gave me compliments so I thought maybe I could open up a small business and see what happens."

She said: "I do have a few loyal customers who are from Carlisle and Brampton, and they have been utterly amazing to me.

"My aim is to become bigger and better. I would love nothing more than to be out there with my bows. I enjoy every second of it."
