A WEST Cumbrian takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Main Street Fisheries, a takeaway at 48 Main Street, Cockermouth was given the score after assessment on October 9, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling, and storage was found to be Good.
The cleanliness and condition of facilities and building (including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities, and pest control) to enable good food hygiene was Good.
The management of food safety was Generally Satisfactory.
It means that of Cumberland's 239 takeaways with ratings, 139 (58%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
