Cumbria Police detained two young shoplifters at a Sainsbury's supermarket in Penrith yesterday.
Officers on foot patrol apprehended the youths on Wednesday, November 13, after working with store security following concerns of anti-social behaviour and youth shoplifting at the supermarket at Common Garden Square.
The parents or guardians of the shoplifters have been informed.

A spokesperson from Eden Police said: "You said anti-social behaviour and youth shoplifting was a problem at Sainsbury's, Penrith. We have- been conducting high-visibility foot patrols at both am and pm.
"Shoplifting is a crime big or small.
"We continue to work with local businesses in order to prevent crime and disorder through the Penrith shop watch scheme."
