CARLISLE Cathedral will be hosting a Readers' Service this month.
The service will take place on Saturday, November 16, at 2pm.
In a post on social media, Carlisle Cathedral wrote: "Readers, also known as Licensed Lay Ministers, are lay people, called by God, trained and licensed by the Church to preach, teach, lead worship and assist in pastoral, evangelistic and liturgical work.
"All are welcome to attend and tickets are not required. Due to this service, there will be no Evening Prayer on this day."
A variety of services and concerts will be taking place at the cathedral throughout the festive period.
More details can be found on the Carlisle Cathedral website.
