Penrith is set to turn on its Christmas lights with a sparkling event this weekend.
Visitors to the town centre can expect a festive day out at Penrith Christmas Sparkle on Saturday, November 16, featuring an array of live music, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
Kicking off the holiday season, this event promises plenty of festive cheer with something for everyone to enjoy.
The fun begins at 2pm, with Santa Claus himself making an appearance. The live performances start at 2.30pm with Amy Anderson Walmsley, followed by the UCC Choir at 3pm, Cassette Baby at 3.30pm, and Committed 2 Rock at 4pm.
Shallows will keep the energy going from 4.30pm, leading up to the Tractor Parade at 5pm, which will pass through Cornmarket, King Street and Great Dockray.
As dusk falls, gather around for the big switch-on at 6pm.The festivities will wrap up by 7pm.
In addition to live performances, visitors can explore a variety of rides, stalls, and craft activities.
