A PETROL station in Penrith is set to reopen this week after a full refurbishment.
Hills garage on Scotland Road has undergone its first interior revamp in 25 years.
It closed on Sunday (November 10) and is expected to reopen to the public on Wednesday morning (November 20) at its usual 6am opening.
Aaron Tweedie, assistant operations manager at Hills, said: "We aim to be open on Wednesday morning at normal opening time.
"The site hasn’t been touched in 25 years in terms of the inside of the shop.
"We thought it was about time to bring up to the standards of the rest of our sites," he said.
The shop now boasts new shelving and more than 200 new product lines.
"We’re trying not to just be a petrol store, we want to be a local convenience store," Mr Tweedie said.
"You’ll be able to get all the ingredients to make your tea, your sauces and rice, rather than just buy your tea in the store.
"We'll be offering the likes of Nando's sauces, apples and bananas, as well as your grab-and-go.
“The deli won't be changing but we'll be increasing our range with fresh cream cakes as well as our usual butties," he said.
