Part of a road in North Cumbria will close for up to five days while roadworks are carried out.
The closure affects the C1016 Lynefoot, near Westlinton, in between Carlisle and Longtown, from its junction with the U1072, extending southwesterly for approximately 800 metres.
It will be closed from 7am to 7pm daily from November 18 to November 22.

An alternative route is available via Floriston Bridge, the C1022, the U1070 and the U1072.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
