A MOTORIST who drove a Mini Cooper dangerously on the A66 and A595 was suffering from a mental health breakdown, a court heard.
Kallum White, 23, drove from Mealsgate to Ramsay Brow in Workington on October 21, showing a ‘disregard for the rules of the road and the safety of other road users’, Workington Magistrates’ Court was told.
Mike Woolaghan, defending, said White was suffering from a breakdown of his mental health and was feeling suicidal.
He had been diagnosed with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and borderline personality disorder.
White, of Mason Street, Workington, entered a guilty plea to driving a motor vehicle dangerously.
Mr Woolaghan requested a four-week adjournment to allow for a pre-sentence to be prepared by the Probation Service.
White will be sentenced at Workington Magistrates’ Court on December 16. Magistrates imposed an interim driving disqualification.
