A CLOTHING collection will take place this weekend in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
It will be held on Saturday, from 8am until 12pm, at Hensingham ARLFC and has been organised by Jordan Mattinson.
He first started organising collections in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic and the first events were held at Whitehaven RUFC.
Jordan has continued hosting collections at Hensingham ARLFC, with members helping out on the days.
Tens of thousands of pounds have been raised since the collections started. The event offers people the chance to recycle while supporting the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
Items that can be donated at the collection are: clothing, footwear, bags, purses, mobile phones, laptops, tablets and hand held instruments.
Due to rule changes, the following items can no longer be accepted: books, DVDs, CDs, bric-a-brac and household textiles including curtains, towels and bedding.
Please only donate accepted items from the list above.
