A tour operating company that offers holidays worldwide is set to close its premises in Carlisle this weekend.
Virgin Atlantic Holidays has been based in the Lanes Shopping Centre since 2016, but will officially close its doors on November 24, 2024.
The business, which helped holiday-goers book packages and inclusive deals to destinations across the globe, was based in the upstairs area of Next in the city's biggest shopping centre.
A Virgin Atlantic Holidays spokesperson said: "In response to changing consumer behaviour, we continue to review our Virgin Atlantic Holidays Retail estate. As a result, we have re-evaluated the size and scale of our retail store network and have made the very difficult decision to close our Next concession store in Carlisle.
“We’d like to apologise to our Virgin Atlantic Holidays customers and reassure them that all other Virgin Atlantic Holidays retail stores continue to operate. Alternatively they can speak to our customer centre team members for any holiday queries."
