CUMBRIA Police have been continuing to tackle antisocial behaviour in the Wigton and Dalston area.
Officers have been working in these areas to reduce antisocial behaviour and other types of crime in these areas.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "Working with our partners in housing and local councils, by adopting early interventions and educational programmes, by increasing youth engagement in schools and clubs and increasing High Visibility Patrols; we have reduced Antisocial Behaviour over the last 6 months in 3 of our 4 areas (compared to last year).
"The overall reduction to ASB is 33%, and the reduction to Crime is 42%, excluding Wigton.
"Whilst crime is down 10% in Wigton, a recent spate of ASB in the town means we still have work to do to make similar reductions.
"Although, over the last year, we have doubled our Neighbourhood police patrolling footprint, our work isn’t complete and we will continue to monitor and show contempt for those committing crime and ASB, in your area."
